Loring Laboratories stores samples that have been processed and reported on by
the laboratory for a minimum of 1 year. Please contact the lab for the status
of your sample. We make every effort to accommodate requests to perform additional
analyses on the same sample within one year of the original analysis, provided
that the sample stored is the appropriate sample type, adequate in amount and
good integrity.
Every
care is taken to ensure that samples are processed separately in the sample preparation
area and the geochemistry lab. Samples are in this way, never contaminated and
the sample stored is as intact as when it arrived.
Sample
inventory management with LIMS is used to track samples throughout their processing
and testing and allows for accession, storage and retrieval of samples, aliquots
and related data quickly.
Storage
policy is typically the following:
All pulps are retained for a period of one year. |
All crushed rejects are retained for 6 months. |
Note:
Arrangements can be made for longer storage periods with a nominal fee applied.
