Loring Laboratories Ltd. (LORING) is a wholly Canadian owned company, initially incorporated in 1967, in Calgary, Alberta, by Mr. Loring McIsaac and partners. Its laboratory analytical services covers, but not limited to, minerals, diamond, coal, and oil and gas.

Two of the partners Mr. Sodi Berar and Mr. David Ko took over the leadership of the company in 1992 and grew the company to be a leading laboratory in western Canada for minerals and coal for its expertises and high certainty of assay reports.

In 2006, Dr. Greg Hu, an oilsands veteran, teamed up with Mr. Berar and Mr. Ko to found an oilsands specialty laboratory Loring Tarcore Labs Ltd. (TARCORE), which grew rapidly to become a leading energy laboratory in Canada with its innovative, efficient workflow based on a patent invented by Dr. Greg Hu.

In 2016 before Mr. Berar retired, LORING was acquired by TARCORE and became its subsidiary. A year later, LORING was moved to the state-of-art facility of TARCORE, which locates at 6835 8 Street NE, Calgary, Alberta with over 50,000 sf lab space on 3.5 acre land. LORING is also registered with ISO9001: 2015.

Assaying, Geochemistry, Coal Analysis and Oil and Gas analysis form LORING's services base and in 1993, a facility to identify Diamond-Indicator Minerals was put into production.
